Amish lawn ornaments are a perfect way to add charm and style to your lawn or garden area. Amish Furniture Factory offers several unique pieces in our line of lawn and garden decor. The most popular sellers from our Amish Lawn Ornaments category are our windmills. We offer two kinds of windmills to choose from, including our ever popular American and Dutch windmills.
The American windmill is, as its name implies fashioned after an American style windmill that is traditionally built with a series of a-frame cross member beams. This type of structure proved to be very sturdy during the 19th century and worked well aerodynamically while in use on the windy open planes of the Midwest, Southwest, and Southeastern portions of the United States. The open frame style construction allowed wind to pass right through the base of the windmill, while the blades caught the wind efficiently that provided an excellent source of energy for completing tasks such as grinding and refining grains, generating electricity, and moving water.Â
A Dutch windmill was designed much differently than the later American windmill. A Dutch windmill was designed like a building where various types of grains where ground and refined by the wind generated energy and processed in the windmill.
Our creek bridges are another popular option from the Amish lawn ornaments we offer. We sell creek bridges in two different styles and in various sizes. Our pinewood benches are an excellent addition to any lawn, garden, or park area and fulfill that natural wood look that many customers demand from lawn and garden decor. Our wood creek bridges are made of 100% natural hardwood southern yellow pine that has been pressure treated for extra durability and expand the outdoor life of your bridge to many decades. The southern yellow pine used in our bridges is hand selected based for appearance and strength before being cut, refined, detailed, and assembled with stainless steel screws that will not rust outdoors.
We also offer a vinyl wood, or poly vinyl creed bridge that is made of high quality Poly Vinylethylene which is a high density material made from post consumer bottle waste such as milk containers, and water bottles. he material is cleaned in a decontamination process to a purity level of over 99% HDPE. It is then compounded into rigid board stock material; the resulting finished product containing over 90% recycled post consumer waste by weight. Here are some benefits of using this nearly indestructible material:
• No maintenance such as painting, scraping or replacing
• Termite resistant
• Will not crack, splinter, warp or rot
• Will not promote bacterial growth or mildew
• Will not weather from natural elements
• UV stabilized - fade proof
• Assembled with stainless steel hardware
