There are several unique advantages to purchasing authentic hardwood furniture<\/a> as opposed to cheap, mass-produced models. It’s stronger, more durable, and let’s face it, authentic hardwood furniture looks more attractive as well. Whether you are looking for a new dining table, coffee table or any other piece of furniture, you simply can’t go wrong with hardwood. To ensure it maintains its naturally elegant appeal, though, you’ll need to protect it against scratches. Although minor scratches probably won’t cause any serious need for concern, it will affects it’s overall look. If someone accidentally hits the furniture with their drink too hard, it could leave a scratch. In addition, condensation from the glass could warp and even rot the authentic hardwood. The bottom line is that you need to always use a coaster when placing a drink down on your furniture. Sometimes scratches will occur because the furniture is placed in high-traffic areas where people commonly walk by.
