Kathleen Weller ordered the Skyline Slat Sofa Recliner in mid September from our online store. She opted for the sofa to be built with brown maple wood and to be finished with our deep and rich Espresso (now known as Onyx) stain. Mack Hood ordered our Leg Mission Dining Table in January of this year.  The Leg Mission Dining Table is a popular choice among many Amish furniture shoppers due to it's universal style appeal that fits somewhere between traditional and contemporary.  It's simple and elegant and works well with many different types of home decor.  Mack decided to go with the oak wood and MV Special stain to match some antique heirloom chairs he had for years.  The 42 x 66" solid table top will provide plenty of seating space for at least six people, but could squeeze in a couple more if he had to.

Keith DimmittOak Slope Designs The Dimmitt's ordered our 4x6' Poly Vinly Oval Table with six Poly Vinyl Regular Chairs  and to top it off, added the 2' Highback Poly Vinyl Glider Chair to their order.  I often hear comments about how it's strange the Amish sell furniture made from post consumer materials, but it really makes perfect sense.  The Amish build high quality furniture from green friendly and sustainable materials, such as sustainably harvested hardwoods which produces furniture that lasts for generations, and can be re-worked and refinished many years later.  Just like the hardwoods, the Amish don't make the poly material, they purchase it from suppliers who harvest and process the material for further refining.  Like hardwood, poly vinyl is extremely durable and long lasting.  It's UV resistant which makes it fade proof, and is weather resistant so it never dries out or cracks.  The technical term for poly vinyl is poly vinyl ethylene, which is a material made from post-consumer bottle waste such as milk containers.   This material is cleaned to a purity level of 99% HDPE (high-density polyethylne) which is compounded into solid board stock, or it's equivalent to the wood version, lumber.   Thus, poly vinyl is just another high quality and sustainable material used to make heirloom quality furniture.

    We were leery of ordering an expensive dining room set over the Internet, but given the great reputation of furniture made by the Amish, we took a chance.  And it certainly worked out!  The furniture is very high quality, with solid construction and a beautiful finish.  We couldn't be happier!  Amish Furniture Factory sent us samples of the various wood choices and finishes, and answered our questions promptly.  They are a great company and we highly recommend them.  Five stars!   The Rowens

Custom Double Decker Tavern Shelf

Larry and I received our custom made shelf on Friday. It is absolutely beautiful! The color is perfect and the size is just right. It was a pleasure to do business with Amish Furniture Factory. Thanks again.The SoehnersLarry & Deb Soehner ordered our Tavern Shelf in oak finished in Medium Cherry with some unique custom work done. They kept the 48" width and 8" depth, but requested the piece be built in a "double decker" configuration, where height was nearly doubled by adding a second shelf level. The picture above is the mock up design, but is very close to what the shelf ended up looking like. Larry and Deb were very happy with the shelf.
